F.lux Physically Reduces The Amount Of Blue Light Emitted By Your Screen

Hello F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen and welcome back to another video my name is Will and I’m finally about car for taking a little break now that might be a little understatement has I’ve been taking a year off but I’m finally back and let’s get into it with a review of an application that I really like and really enjoy using and it’s called flax now this is available to use on either Windows or Mac it’s a free platform and basically the idea of this app is to help you to adapt to the night now what I mean by that is the computer is like a Sun and let’s think about it the Sun it’s not great to look at night as I can tamper with your sleep pattern and also it can really irritate your eyes now what flux does is it adapts to the time of day and what time

F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen you get up in the morning now what I mean by that is if you come into the Preferences you can see I set the time for 5:45 if I keep turning out up to let’s say 7 o’clock the the peak which you can see here which I’m coming Leon will still stay as bright as it can until here as you can see when the sunset is in 19 minutes so in 19 minutes that will come down in color and give a nice warm and gentle color to help me to adapt to get my eyes ready for night and obviously it would help me to get a better sleep if I didn’t have this on I have irritated eyes and I will also be having difficulty go into sleep now you might see this in action because obviously it’s a screen recording but if you’re in person you’ll see it to be

F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen like a warm orange a dark orange sort of color that will come on and stay on until the morning now what I like about this is actually uses your location so if you press the little location button here it would find the perfect time for it to adapt to night and to the morning so as you can see here you have your graph so you have your peak which I’m currently on and it goes down into color which is his light orange then enough that it goes into this really dark reddy-orange isaw of color to help you really adapt to the night and help you get a really good night’s rest now if he got recommended colors custom colors classic flux colors far from the equator or working late and you can have day times on two sites Oh

F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen bed time and they’re moving up here you do have other options like fast transition sleep on sleep in on weekends extended to a time settings dim on display and also you’ve got these check boxes here you have color fact room movie mode and OSX dark theme at sunset dark room is basically like like a Red Room so it’s hard to explain really but imagine I think like really dark and really red so you see like a submarine like a war movie and he’s silly but they like the red light on it’s basically that so it helps you to adapt the night I’m not really explained as well but basically red light helps you to not lose your night vision that’s it basically so for disabled you can just save it for an hour sunrise full screen apps or current app and also yeah you have quit flux so obviously a bit

F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen being the weekend I won’t wake up until 9:00 o’clock so you can see here it’s basically jump back to 16 minutes until it goes down to this nice warm orange can’t let to help me to not get my eyes irritated and helps me sleep better now as I say this is a free app to download as you can see this is their website you basically just get flux calm and you just way to click the free download link here and enough that once you downloaded it your basic got it installed and this basically just go through the settings I asked you to do and you’re basically all set up and you’re ready and as you can see here I’m just hovering over you can see my color temperature is five thousand nine hundred and eighty two K so you can see here again I’ve got a quick glimpse of when the sunset is and also my F.lux physically reduces the amount of blue light emitted by your screen wake-up time in nine hours so that’s really cool and really clever and I guys I hope you enjoy the video if you did then please give a thumbs up and like and and I’ll see you in my next video
