So if you’re like anything like me you always get these random scam calls that are just the most annoying things I’ve ever had in my life now there is actually a way to go ahead and kind of circumvent this within ios now this is really great because all those callers that you keep get will just pretty much be gone but there is also a caveat to this as well so basically if you get a call from an unknown number basically if it’s a random caller especially if it says scam likely then it’ll go ahead and ban those calls but at the same time if it’s somebody who tried to call you and you don’t have their number saved then it’ll pretty much go straight to voicemail which honestly isn’t even as bad as it sounds because they can just leave you a voicemail and you’ll still be able to see their phone number go through and you know to be able to call them back.
So in order to figure this out you want to go into your settings app you want to scroll down into phone which is right here it’s kind of towards the bottom as you can see the phone is right here and what you want to do is you want to tap on it now once you’re here you’ll see a bunch of different things and you want to scroll down until you see the option called silence unknown callers which is right here now this is what you want to tap now once you see it you’ll basically see a bunch of other things right but underneath it’ll say phone calls from unknown sources will go straight to voicemail and their phone number will be sent straight to recent so what you want to do is you want to go ahead and tap on it and once it’s enabled. Like this, that’s pretty much it all those random colors that you get that are unknown numbers are including those scam likely numbers they will be banned and they won’t you know you basically will not get their calls on your phone it’ll go straight to voicemail now if you go ahead and open up your phone call app you’ll basically see that you can still see those recent phone numbers that if they call you you’ll basically still be able to see them here if they send you a text message you’ll still be able to see it here but it’s just basically the fact that when your phone is pretty much hijacked on ios 13 ios 14 is a little bit different but on ios 13 you will still be able to use your phone and do everything you need to do but it just won’t take up your whole entire screen.
